Tribal Basics I
Tribal Basics I covers the fundamentals of ITS dance, focusing on 5 slow moves, 5 fast moves, and their most basic variations. Zills are the first prop introduced to students. Proficiency in this level is required to progress to Tribal Basics II.
Tribal Basics II
This class is an elaboration of ITS dance fundamentals. Focus is geared toward spinning slow moves and variations of fast moves. Students can begin to lead as they desire. Prop work i.e. sword balancing and dancing, can be introduced at this level as well as more advanced zilling patterns. Proficiency in this class is necessary to progress to Intermediate Tribal class.
Further exploration of ITS dance variations, focusing on traveling mvoes and more complex lead exchanges. Students should show proficiency at lead changes and should be able to take rear leads competently. Skirt dancing can be introduced at this level along with incorporating new moves to go along with dancing with zills.
Further exploration of ITS dance variations with focus on complex lead exchanges and extended combinations. At the advanced level, students should be able to dance continuously with zills. Advaned theory will be covered at this stage with nontraditional combinations and flows being the focus of study.
